Objective?

Live?

Is the programme live? A comment in the interview with David Frost tonight suggested it could have been recorded the previous day. The article does not say whether live or not. --jmb (talk) 18:35, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Former presenters has a gap

In the 3.2 former presenters section, there appears to be an entire year where there was no female co-presenter. I don't think that's right. The date are all correct, the pilot ran until September 2006, with Sawalha. The show was then off air until July the following year, when Klass joined the show.--Iamthedoctor2009 (talk) 12:46, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction

"It runs every week of the year starting at 7pm, excluding a two-week break for Christmas and a four-week break in a FIFA World Cup or UEFA European Championship year, such as for the 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championships or the London 2012 Olympic Games"

This isn't true: The One Show is in the middle of a three-week break, which isn't covered by the exceptions listed. The sentence is also very wordy. How about:

"The programme runs all year round in its 7pm weekday slot, apart from a short summer break and another at Christmas". Neil W (talk) 21:11, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Laundrettes

Hi, I’ve, been watching your programme regarding laundrettes. I have a laundrette in Haworth, which is doing quite well under the circumstances, and the current price rises, I have my regulars, and plenty of holiday lets, and I’m grateful for all my customers old and new, if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be able to provide a service. A Lad and his Dad

Despite all the skilled presenters that have worked hard to get on in television, Roman Kemp just walks onto the show. Then again, having a well known dad certainly seems to help. Weekly Presenters and guests

I've removed a massive list of weekly and guest presenters. Despite being tagged as unsourced for some while, these lists seem to have continued as a place where original research is being published. This encyclopedia article is really not the place for fans of the show to compile an exhaustive list of everyone who has ever sat on the One Show sofa. Particularly without any sources being included. Generally, I'd say that this is fansite content; almost no one is going to read it, and having read it they have no way of verifying any of its accuracy. Because it has always been like this for donkeys years. They aren't unsourced as I've sat down and gone through every episode and seen who the presenters are. It is not a massive list as they are pretty much under year heading. I updated this last year in the summer to make it look professional and if you keep removing my hard work I'll keep restoring it. @CammyVazzaFC If it has been like this for donkeys years then all the more reason for fixing it. Unfortunately Wikipedia cannot work to "CammyVazzaFC has compiled this and they say it's accurate". Article content needs reliable sources.

These lists are roughly four times the size of the rest of the article combined. They are massive.

I'm sorry if you have spent a great deal of time compiling them, but you have chosen the wrong place to compile your original research. It does not belong on an encyclopedia. If you have sources for this content, then I suggest two things: get the cites on the content, and perhaps the lists would be better in a separate article. Currently these lists dominate the article and would be better in their own article.

@CammyVazzaFC, Are you going to suggest some way of resolving the problems with this article? Currently it fails to follow Wikipedia policy regarding Original Research and isn't much like an encyclopaedia article about the subject. It's more like a fan website.
