Film availability

[edit]

I was surprised I wasn't able to find the film online. It was a government production paod for by a state agency with taxpayer funds. Shouldn't it be made available? FloridaArmy (talk) 02:12, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is complex. I think The Message from Mississippi was a broader campaign, of which the film was a part. Going to see if I can dig a little more into those archival records to see what, if anything, they can clarify before I feel comfortable accepting. No issue if someone else decides to in the interim. I just feel we need more context Star Mississippi 02:07, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
User:Star Mississippi I would recommend accepting the film which is clesrpy notable and adding amy context as you uncover those sources. FloridaArmy (talk) 20:01, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think that should be (film), or leave it as-is and move to de-disambiguate if/when broader campaign is created as a page? Totally agree on notability, I'm just trying to figure out subject precision Star Mississippi 20:29, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
User:Star Mississippi I would leave the titling as is. The context you mention cam be added and if it develops sufficiently can then be split off and naming updated if necessary. That said, I didn't see sourcing that a campaign by this name was a big deal but I am often wrong.. To me rhe broader cintext isnthe commission itself which as we've discussed is inadequately covered (excluding discussion of its leadership for example). makes sense. I've accepted.
Can you or someone else with access advise on whether this article has anything worth adding? Thanks! Star Mississippi 15:16, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
