I am bothered by 72.8.95.36's rewriting of the article. I looks canned (though I don't find it in a google search) with some rather POV analysis. Also, some relevent info seems to have been removed. Other opinions? -- Infrogmation (talk) 04:31, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are referring to me, and in the interest of disclosure, I can explain this. This newer "canned" entry was taken verbatim by me from the unpublished but upcoming Encyclopedia of Jewish American Literature. See here: [1] However, I was the one that wrote the article for said Encyclopedia before posting it here. At the time I posted this, I didn't know if the encyclopedia was going to be published, and so I posted it here, since it was more thorough than the article that existed. Therefore it is not plagiarism, since I wrote it. I do not recall ever signing any official release of copyright, though. So I think it is OK to remain here--unless someone from the publisher reads the article and thinks that their entry has been plagiarized from here! Thanks for the explanation. As long as you didn't make some sort of agreement that someone else has exclusive copyright on what you wrote, I imagine its fine on avoiding any plagerism or copyright problem. I had some concern with some material previously in the article removed, but if no other editors here are bothered, I shan't be either.
