Cultural References

[edit]

I have already corrected the Terminator mistake in the "Cultural references" section once, but this has been replaced with incorrect information. The line originally read "*Barney tries to pick up women as The Terminator, initially in biker attire, but later goes nude." I corrected this to "*Barney tries to pick up women as The Terminator, initially nude, but later in biker attire." I provided timestamps for the two events with my edit "Barney is initially nude (13min14sec) but later arrives in biker attire (13min53sec)". This edit was promptly replaced with a re-hashing of the original: "*Barney tries to pick up women as the Terminator. He wonders why he is unable to pick up any women in biker attire and later tries doing it nude, impersonating Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice.". Can anyone provide any evidence for this chronology? The nude scene comes immediately after the terminator story is introduced, with a scene at the bar including biker attire coming later in the episode. 213.105.26.59 (talk) 22:22, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Rewatch that section again - in the second scene he walks in wearing the Biker outfit and says 'Man this is not working, maybe I need to try another part of the movie' (paraphrashed) he then runs to to door stripping off his clothes, implying he is going outside. This show frequently plays aroudn with timelines like that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.179.196.1 (talk) 02:20, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Spartacus?

[edit]

I think the bus scene ("I'm having a heart attack.") is a reference to Spartacus, anyone agree? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.217.167.111 (talk) 18:40, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why does HIMYM have its own page for every episode but better shows that actually have longer episodes don't? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.90.194.216 (talk) 09:16, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Because "better" is not an objective measure, and because you haven't created them yet. You're free to make pages for individual episodes of any show you want. DavidMann (talk) 17:39, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
