Fair use rationale for Image:Vache qui rit.gif

Image:Vache qui rit.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The UK homepage for the cheese claims it is not necessarily vegetarian (see the FAQ near the bottom). How sure are we that the cheese is really hallal then? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.138.73.132 (talk) 20:49, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

The Laughing Cow cheese is not suitable for vegetarians. On sending a query to the manufacturers asking thier source for rennet-where animal derived or microbial/vegetable, this is reply I recived on July 21, 2010. Ref : CRM-10-4928

"Miss,

We thank you for your interest to Laughing cow.

The traditional coagulant used in cheese making is rennet coming from veal.

We hope that, this information has been useful. Don't hesitate to contact us for any other information. Kind regards, Yours sincerely

Please change the article so that unsuspecting vegetarians do not end up consuming this cheese. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.199.13.36 (talk) 11:13, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Halal? Rennet?

If the processed cheese by this company uses an undisclosed number of varieties of cheeses, such as comte, then how it can be assured that the cheese does not include rennet at one time or the other? Unless pure vegetarian cheeses (made using synthetic rennet) are exclusivly used (need proof), the resulting "processed cheese" can neither be vegetarian or halal (unless the slaughtered animals where slaughtered halal in order to get the rennet). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.223.187.171 (talk) 13:36, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
