User:Nomopbs The book is notable because its a published book by a notable author Daniel Defoe and the book is about a noteworthy historical individual Henry Avery. There are plenty of sources which discuss the historical accuracy of this autobiography. Also the book has being recorded at Project Gutenberg and OCLC. Jolly Roger

Academic

There are several academic articles on the web about this book. It appears to be quite a liked topic with researchers who prefer history, the Caribbean, pirates, etc. I think it needs to be expanded a great deal, but not deleted. A book from 1709 still has worth.
