Gay Marriage Thing on Wiki Film portal

[edit]

I would love to get The Gay Marriage Thing onto the WikiFilm portal, but I'm not clear on how to do this. Working on it. Will take any advice... Millies (talk) 22:21, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Technical note: I've removed the hangon template you added to the page as it has not been nominated for speedy deletion. The best thing that can be done for any article is to provide citations to reliable sources that discuss or review the film. These types of sources provide the context that makes an article more encyclopedic, as well as saves it from any kind of deletion. Someguy1221 (talk) 22:35, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not potential sources

[edit]

6. PFLAG, Women On Film Festival, Key West PFLAG Chapter, September 5, 2007 - a dead link

Likely not a good source

[edit]

3. Filmmakers Collaborative, August 2008 - appears to be a promoter/distributor of the film, not a 3rd party

11. Summit Daily News, Gay Marriage Thing Takes A Shot At The Festival Of Film, September 8, 2005 - I didnt find anything encyclopedic in here, but it would help support WP:N claims.

12. Berkeley Beacon, November 4, 2004 - same as #11 14. Edge Magazine Boston, MA Filmmaker Makes a Difference With Documentary, May 10, 2006 -as with 11 and 12, mostly just an interview with the director

8. In Newsweekly, Marriage Celebrated On Film, May 17, 2006 (i finally found it (with no / at the end) herehttp://www.innewsweekly.com/innews/?class_code=Ne&article_code=1871) as with 11, 12, and 14

4. Bay Windows, July 2, 2008 (I finally found the article at this link (no "/" at the end) http://www.baywindows.com/index.php?ch=arts&sc=artsandculture&sc2=news&sc3=&id=76865) - again, nothing in here that appears to contian encyclopedic content for the film article, except maybe this "On June 26, the Peabody Essex addressed this omission [lack of same sex marriage content in exhibition about weddings] with a screening of the film The Gay Marriage Thing and a panel discussion on same-sex marriage." ?
