Premiere of original version
[edit]I've added a sentence about Rozhdestvensky conducting the premiere of the original version of The Gambler (plus a bit to indicate that the Brussels premiere was of the standard revised version). In doing so, I discovered that David Nice's biography of Prokofiev is far from immaculate so far as proof-reading is concerned, which makes me suspect his stated year of the premiere, 2000, is probably not be trusted above what is stated by the Bolshoi Theatre's website (and seemingly confirmed by the recording date of the live performance available on an Exton SACD/CD hybrid). Thought I would post this info here in case anyone else wonders why Nice has published a different date. Alfietucker (talk) 11:32, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
