Thanks for starting this article, @Οἶδα:. I believe the reformed church in which Rijneveld grew up is likely to be the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands ("gereformeerd"), rather than the the Dutch Reformed Church ("hervormd"). This would be consistent with the article about Rijneveld themself, and the church at the centre of Nieuwendijk is gereformeerd. Or is there a source indicating that Rijneveld's family are/were hervormd? -- -- Frans Fowler (talk) 12:04, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, I believe you are correct. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Οἶδα (talk) 16:27, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Low importance?

[edit]

I have no experience applying the criteria for assessing the importance of novels, but I wonder whether "low" is right for a work that earned its author and the translator the International Booker Prize. Thoughts anyone? @Οἶδα: perhaps? --- Frans Fowler (talk) 19:13, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You can read more about the importance scale for novels at WP:NOVA. I would say the subject is now of at least mid-importance for the reason you described. I will reclassify it as such. Οἶδα (talk) 19:53, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
