[edit]The following excerpt, in § Plot, is garbled:
Soon after Ivan finds out that Koschei took Marya Morevna away, and chases him. When he gets him for the first time, Koschei tells Ivan he lets him go, but Ivan doesn't give in, and Koschei kills him, puts his remains into a barrel and throws it into the sea.
I have no idea what's meant, so I'm going to mention it on the pages of the three projects that claim interest in the page. --Thnidu (talk) 15:53, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
- The underlined text is supposed to mean that normally Koschei would just kill Ivan, but for whatever reason, for the first time he decides to spare him and just to send him away. Ivan refuses and, no surprisingly, gets killed by Koschei.--Ymblanter (talk) 16:03, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
- For the reason that Ivan was who freed Koschei from Marya's prison in the first place, albeit unwittingly (by giving Koschei water). Arlo James Barnes 08:54, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
