[edit]
An image used in this article, File:DMCR Screen Shot.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Repeated linking

[edit]

The names in this article are linked way more than WP:REPEATLINK calls for. The people editing it should remove the extraneous wikilinks - once per name is enough. PKT(alk) 21:33, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DMCR air dates not authoritative (case in point: DMCR Evel Knievel)

[edit]

This is a tough one. I was not able to find an authority I can trust for when any of the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts actually aired, so inference seems all that is possible.

The original date I came upon in this article was Saturday, October 11, 1975. However, IMDb has this as airing Tuesday, November 11, 1975 (so I changed Wikipedia article to that date) and TV.com shows Monday, November 10, 1975. I tend to favor the majority indication of the November dates since no authority given for Wikipedia's original Saturday, October 11, 1975 date.

I checked to see what NBC's schedule was for the November dates and it appears that it could have aired on either November date because episodes of NBC Monday Night at the Movies (Monday) and Police Story (Tuesday) didn't air on those days. However, I doubt it aired when Monday Night Football was airing on ABC (KC vs. Dallas - which game started on Central time), so I lean toward Tuesday, November 11th, when there was a spot open between 9pm and 10pm when Police Story was supposed to air, but didn't.

Evidence gathered in seeking a conclusion which favors the IMDb authority:

http://www.tvtango.com/series/nbc_monday_night_movies/episodes <-- there was no NBC Monday Night at the Movies for Monday, November 10th, 1975 (possible spot)...however ABC Monday night football would have occurred in the same slot in some time zones making airing of DMCR problematic for ratings.

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/The_Invisible_Man_(1975_TV_series) <-- there was no Invisible Man episode for Monday, November 10th (possible spot)...however ABC Monday night football would have occurred in the same slot in some time zones making airing of DMCR problematic for ratings.

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_Monday_Night_Football_results_(1970%E2%80%9389)#1975_NFL_season <-- shows KC vs. Dallas game that same day

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Movin%27_On_(TV_series) <-- there was a Movin' On episode for Tuesday, November 11th, making this time slot unavailable

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_Police_Story_episodes <-- there was no episode of Police Story on Tuesday, November 11th, making this the most likely slot that DMCR: Evel Knievel occurred if either November date is credible.

This assumes the authority of the one TVTango.com and four Wikipedia sources cited above.

Joe Namath 1979-01-19 Airing

I don't know if the air date is correct on this listing. The credits so 1978 as the year. Does anyone know for sure? 2600:6C44:7DF0:3F0:B3E0:E71C:25D6:2344 (talk) 00:06, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
