The opening line of The Darkest Child Article effectively sets out the general goal and central topic of the piece for readers to grasp right away. The introduction is instructive and well-written, with a concise style. The material that was provided for the Lead should support the information that will be presented in the next body paragraphs; therefore, it is critical that the writer choose their content carefully and directly. It was a very brief and informative introduction/lead paragraph, in which needs to be expanded upon. To the best of my knowledge, the Wikipedia article's opening was well composed and free of any type of formatting or grammar mistakes. The article's lack of substance about a link with the South, the question of what the South means to "you," and one's correlation to Southern culture is the only thing that concerned me about this section of the article.
