Hayes Swimming Pool & intersection

[edit]

....Mr Bean walks out of the car park into a swimming pool that is actually six miles away in central Hayes and still visually unchanged....

Sadly thats not true anymore.

and about the intersection (This scene was filmed in Feltham, about a mile down the road from where Act 2 was filmed.) Is there any proof? I was in Feltham and didnt find any similar spot.

The intersection is actually in Twickenham at the crossroads of Staines Road, Hospital Bridge Road and Sixth Cross Road. It hardly looks any different now. My wife drove past when they were filming. 82.43.52.20 (talk) 17:25, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ben Elton

[edit]

The opening titles credit Ben Elton as a writer, together with Atkinson and Curtis. However, the closing titles instead give the credits as Robin Driscoll with Atkinson and Curtis (which was the writing team going forward). Elton is otherwise only credited on the pilot episode. Any story behind this unusual dual writing credit? It's unlikely to be an error given the titles would have had to be specially composited. 58.105.61.182 (talk) 10:47, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
