A beautiful article. Here are my comments:

Lead:

As per WP:MOSLEAD I think it's best to keep only one translation of the name in the lead. Both translated names can go to the info box.
one art historian Can we know who?
At places you say 1844-45, elsewhere you say 1812-1872. Consistency would be good.

Article:

Say either Romantic or romantic.
