I have created a page for this compilation, because it exhaustively covers a major period of Holiday's career prior to the LP era. We already have pages for each of her original LPs from the 1950s, as well as a larger box set covering her Columbia material from the 1930s/early 40s. I used that Columbia box set page as a model for this page. I feel that it is difficult to talk about music from the pre-LP era within the Wikipedia structure, other than on a song by song basis (inherently random and inconsistent), and an exhaustive box set like this one allows us the opportunity to discuss an important period in an artists career with the same attention we commonly give to LPs. In Holiday's case (as with any other pre-war musician) the earlier 78rpm singles are in fact more significant than the LPs, thus require some such framework for discussing them with at least the same attention. I encourage other contributors to flesh out my Content section with further detail about these 1940s recordings, and this phase of Holiday's recording career.
