Filming

[edit]

Anybody know when it was filmed? MSalmon (talk) 21:17, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's going as we speak, and the final will be live. The days of the eliminations are incorrect though as there are no Saturday episodes, the Sunday episode merges two days into one (similar to Love Island) but we don't see the days get split if you understand what I mean? It looks like it's just one day because you don't see them go to bed then wake up again, but it's the way they've edited it - it's actually two. ThisIsDanny (talk) 11:47, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So they are actually in the apartments now? MSalmon (talk) 12:26, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, they tweeted recently that Alice and Maya would be back for the "live" final. Not sure how it's going to work though. ThisIsDanny (talk) 12:59, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Do we know what day they are on currently? MSalmon (talk) 13:02, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Because it's always a day behind (like BB, Love Island, I'm a Celeb etc) it's launch (Tuesday) was Day 2, showing highlights from Day 1, and so on. So today (Sunday) will technically be Day 14. The final will be Monday 8th October (Day 22 - but presumably will show highlights from Day 21 which would be Sunday). The only thing making it difficult to keep up is Sunday's episode having 2 days merged. Big Brother's Sunday episode clearly shows which is the Friday/Saturday highlights, but Love Island didn't. Off topic but there'd be islanders that came out and said that their night in the hideaway together wasn't shown, but it's because they had to miss a night when they merged the days together if you get what I mean? It's complicated to explain. ThisIsDanny (talk) 13:12, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's what I thought so they all moved in on Monday 14 September MSalmon (talk) 13:15, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Monday 17th :) ThisIsDanny (talk) 13:20, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes sorry MSalmon (talk) 13:21, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sian just said it was Day 12 so not sure if that was about yesterday MSalmon (talk) 21:20, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
With today being Day 14, the highlights shown after the night Mairead entered were from Friday and Saturday (Day 12 and 13) and they were merged together to make one day, it's unclear which day was which though ThisIsDanny (talk) 22:09, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

TBC or Not Published

[edit]

TBC or Not published? ThisIsDanny (talk) 00:04, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also consistency is needed. You can't have Genelle as N/A but everyone else as Not Published ThisIsDanny (talk) 00:05, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Move to The Circle (UK TV series)

[edit]

I am opening a discussion to move this article to The Cirlce (UK TV series) as American, French, and Brazilian versions of the show will soon be released on Netflix. Jayab314 13:08, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Separate articles

[edit]

Now that we have more than one series can someone move them into separate articles. MSalmon (talk) 17:45, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, With the second series now ongoing I think it's time to create and move all relevant information to the following pages:

Superdry19 (talk) 01:14, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, there is more than enough information for each series to create separate articles. – DarkGlow (talk) 07:44, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why “someone”. Why can’t you do it yourself. Davidfromfinance (talk) 15:53, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Franchise article

[edit]

As suggested by @Jayab314:, I am proposing a split, and a The Circle (franchise) article to be created. The Circle is now a large worldwide franchise, and is becoming larger as the days go on. Comment below if you agree or disagree, and your reasons for your opinion. – DarkGlow (talk) 16:28, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkGlow: I agree, we should create the franchise article. Especially since three of the four versions were all confirmed at the same time, and it's pretty likely that The Circle could expand worldwide, I think creating it now is best. Jayab314 16:30, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Jayab314: If each of the national editions are notable enough for their own article, I can't realistically see anyone disagreeing with a franchise article being made – so if you want to make it, go ahead, and I don't mind helping out if you need. – DarkGlow (talk) 16:32, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Move

[edit]

@Chocolateediter: has just moved the article in a completely UNdiscussed move, changing the (TV series) to (TV show), claiming this is British English, which is incorrect. The correct term is TV series. This should have been discussed, and I am certain the result would have been to keep the article name the same. I will be requesting for the article name to be restored. – DarkGlow () 17:28, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alright sorry I acted without discussion.

UK usage applies show and programme to the ‘series’ (set of sets of episodes). IE quiz shows. while series is used in place of ‘season’ (set of shows).EG series 5 of Top Gear. They are exemptions like with season/series with Doctor Who because of original and reboot version. Chocolateediter (talk) 17:41, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If series was used with two meanings in an article it would be confusing for an average reader. Chocolateediter (talk) 17:43, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Chocolateediter: Using series with two meanings is not considered to be confusing for readers, since every British TV series article does it. If you wanted to phrase a sentence in the least confusing way, it could be done as such: "The Circle was renewed for a second series in 2018, with the programme set to air the series in 2019." – or something along these lines. The article name should have renamed the same, as it is a TV series. If you still want to change it after it is reverted, open a move discussion and it will be properly discussed. – DarkGlow () 18:32, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I’ll leave it just need to let go, British English is die-ing out each day. Chocolateediter (talk) 19:52, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Netflix talks

[edit]

Are Netflix still in talks for a 4th UK Series or is the information out of date? (Fran Bosh (talk) 01:17, 8 March 2024 (UTC))[reply]
