[edit]The comment noting that Tom Hanks may have based The Wonders in "That Thing You Do" on the Washington, D.C., Chartbusters is very questionable. Tom grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and there was a local band called The Chartbusters that played local roller rinks, pizza parlors and veterans halls. It may be a stretch to think that Hanks would use several Bay Area references ("Oneders" is taken from San Francisco radio station KYA, which he was a fan of, and character "K.O. Bailey" refers to a popular San Francisco disc jockey), and then would base the band on a group from Washington, D.C., that he probably never heard on local radio. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BayRadioDJ (talk • contribs) 21:59, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
