The First Family (album) was also a comedy album and won the Grammy just two years later in 1963. --John_Abbe (talk) 09:25, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Anachronism?

[edit]

I haven't watched the referenced show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, so I hope this isn't a dumb question. While Newhart's album was recorded and released in 1960, he had been working on his material since 1956, but not as typical stand-up. Is it possible that the point of the episode was Joel stealing material that wouldn't have been well known enough yet for him to get in trouble, and therefore not anachronistic at all?
