Dubious association with "Benjamin Bowmaneer"

Linking "Benjamin Bowmaneer" (Roud #1514) with "The Butcher and the Tailor's Wife" (Roud #1528) seems shaky at best. Roud did not group them; neither does Mainly Norfolk.

The common tunes for the two songs are quite dissimilar. The general stories and specific lyrics of the common variants, again, don't share much. Just because both songs feature tailors in less-than-flattering portrayals does not mean they are closely related songs.
