Interview with reporter?

[edit]

I don't believe any of the radio episodes I've listened to — dozens of them — had an interview with the real-life reporter. Instead, studio talent reads a "telegram" from the reporter as a coda to the drama. And, of course, the journalist expresses appreciation for the $500 Pell Mell award he or (rarely) she received.

Because of the tobacco company sponsorship, many (most?) scripts of the show are available online as a result of litigation against the cigarette firms. Alas, when I last searched I was unable to find a master program list (log, episode guide). Also unfound, and of greater interest to me, was any indication of the real-life details of the reporters' investigations. (Pseudonyms were used in the dramatizations except that the reporter's real name was used.)
