To what ranking(s) does this sentence refer?
This article features an equivocal statement:
Despite early mixed reviews [for The Big Bang Theory], seven [of its] seasons were ranked within the top ten of the final season ratings, and it ultimately reached the no. 1 spot in its eleventh season.
Does this refer to the annual ranked list of the most-widely-watched television programs from the most-recently-completed season? (Not a final season ratings, but a season's final ratings.)
