is the personnel list complete? St Vincent seems to have been with the group at about that time (haven’t found a definitive source). As weak evidence, in her appearance on NPR’s Fresh Air on April 23, 2024, they played the opening bars of Light and Day. Not enough evidence to include her, but enough that we should flag the personnel list as possibly incomplete.

Why is this classified as Pop?
[edit]I can see the Spree fitting under many categories, but Pop is not one of them. "The term [Pop] indicates specific stylistic traits such as an emotional singing style, lyrics about love or sex, danceable beat, clear melodies, simple harmonies and repetitive structure so that people can catch on and join in." Except for the repetitive structure, to an extent, I don't think so! Cheezmeister 19:15, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

- That's the way it appears on the album. 199.125.109.126 (talk) 17:34, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- That may be, but per WP:ALBUMCAPS, the last word of the title should be capitalized. — Σxplicit 19:15, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, it should be moved to the Of version. k-i-a-c (hitmeup - the past) 13:31, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose. Guidelines should not be followed off cliffs; here the last word in the title is absent. The purpose of naming conventions is to place articles where readers will expect them. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 18:49, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- In addition, the guidelines state, "except for articles ("a", "an", "the"), the word "to" as part of an infinitive, prepositions and coordinating conjunctions shorter than five letters (e.g., "on", "from", "and", "with"), unless they begin or end a title or subtitle", and "of" is not the "end" of the title, the end of the title is "...". 199.125.109.126 (talk) 22:39, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

The result of the move request was still no consensus Aervanath (talk) 18:15, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

- This was the subject of a recent move request resulting in no consensus. Station1 (talk) 04:54, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
- Comment Consensus is unnecessary, as WP:CAPS is clear about this (emphasis added): "In general, each word in English titles of books, films, and other works takes an initial capital, except for articles ('a', 'an', 'the'), the word 'to' as part of an infinitive, prepositions and coordinating conjunctions shorter than five letters (e.g., 'on', 'from', 'and', 'with'), unless they begin or end a title or subtitle." 05:09, 16 May 2009 User:Koavf
- But see the previous discussion, above. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:51, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
- Comment The only persons who dissented were an anon IP and someone who apparently didn't understand the convention. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 06:44, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
- Comment I can't believe the English language considers "..." as a word. "Of" is the last 'word', so to speak, so it should be capitalised. k.i.a.c (talktome - contribs) 09:33, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
- Comment. I very much doubt that Septentrionalis's opposition was out of "not understand[ing] the convention." It's kind of a special case since the title is intended to be incomplete. However, I'd prefer capitalizing the last word nonetheless, because that's what we do with the first word in incomplete titles such as ...And Justice for All. Jafeluv (talk) 09:52, 16 May 2009 (UTC)#
- The last word is represented by the ellipsis. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 15:27, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- I continue to oppose, unless it can be shown that reliable third parties actually and normally spell with Of. Conventions are by their nature approximations, and I doubt this special case was considered when it was written. ...And Justice for All seems to me idiom (and it is certainly how external sources spell the movie); this doesn't. Let's see then. A quick Google search reveals the following usages:
"The Beginning Stages Of...":
"The Beginning Stages of...":
- The album sleeve (can someone confirm this?)
- Official website
- Pitchfork
- leedsmusicscene
- Concert Livewire
Uses both:
Now, this may be biased toward the first one since many sites use the "capitalize every word" rule, unlike Wikipedia. Whatever way you look at it, this is a very close call. Jafeluv (talk) 20:00, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
