[edit]

Specifically referring to these edits. Questions are what this talk page is for. That sentence was a duplicate of a later sentence in the article, inserted into the wrong place, a fact which was made extremely obvious by just having the numbers 9 and 10 in brackets in place of actual citations. As for the apparent contradiction, I flagged it as not being verified by the citations given. Wehpudicabok (talk) 01:10, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I misread the diff, I was trying to revert to the revision before the addition of that duplicated paragraph. Nardog (talk) 02:56, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries :) Wehpudicabok (talk) 03:19, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Rape"

[edit]

Shouldn't "rape" be between quotation marks as in the source it is specified that Ivana said that he didn't rape her? 2A02:A46A:2C29:1:DC84:C315:A149:F387 (talk) 17:22, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

She did accuse him of rape. Later, possibly after pressure, she modified her later statements. This is a frequent pattern of how accusers of Trump later modify their statements or drop their legal suits against him. In the case of "Katie Johnson" (a pseudonym), her lawyer asserted that she dropped her rape cases (more than one) after Trump allegedly made death threats against her family. -- Valjean (talk) (PING me) 17:34, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a source that she “modified” her statements “possibly under pressure”? It seems like Wikipedia is creating their own scenario here. Also, she didn’t modify her statement. She flat out said he didn’t rape her. If not for bias, your explanation would’ve read “she recanted” her statement. WhowinsIwins (talk) 04:45, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not in the plot-section, since in the film he does rape her, and the Legal issues section seems fine as-is to me. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:35, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
