Obviously Phil doesn't drive home at the end, talking to his dog who he buried two pages earlier. I propose, "Phil imagines himself driving home, now pain-free, with his deceased dog." Doctorhawkes (talk) 04:28, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

He speaks to the dead dog before the third encounter with the Answer Man though. I think this is veering into original research / interpretation, and that we would need a source for Phil being dead at the end of the story. McPhail (talk) 17:15, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
