i think I know why this got cancelled
[edit]A lot of parental groups complained about some skits being rasist. User:KinseyLOL
- Except that's not why. Bynes wanted to quit; it's pretty hard to have "The Amanda Show" without an "Amanda". CaptHayfever 19:06, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
i wish it didn't get cancelled, it was a great show, but she did quit to be on a show on wb called what i like about you. hotspot This is not a forum, all discussion here should be in regard to the actual article itself. Eatspie (talk) 19:30, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Merge it!
[edit]Needs to be merged.
just merge them
[edit]2 lines in both articles are redundant, and the other four can easily fit in the Amanda Show description, there is no need for another stub article
Template?
[edit]I have added other Nickelodeon spin-off shows to the "See also" section. Do you think this might be the time for a template? Please reply. - LBM 21:15, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
You said I vandalized
[edit]I added something to the "When ... Attack" section, and you said it was vandalism. I watched an episode with that in it the other day, and she said: "You may also know me as Bucky McBuckBuck, the worlds' most ticklish pony." I added the most ticklish pony part, and you said it was vandalism! Can you reconsider? That was one of the funniest moments on the show.
- Oops... it seems I made a mistake. I will re-add the line to the article. Once again, my sincere apologies! - LBM 01:45, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!
Crazy Joe Davola?!
[edit]In the info-box it says one of the executive producers is "Joe Davola"! This can't be true! It may be a coincidice, but I'm not sure. Steve 19:15, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps it's a different Joe Davola? Never Mystic (tc) 02:44, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Actually, to correct both of you, "Crazy" Joe was named after the producer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.192.223.240 (talk) 23:01, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Too much detail
[edit]I think the "Recurring sketches" section should be trimmed; currently, it's very long. Never Mystic (tc) 19:56, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Totally Kyle
[edit]The description states that teens say "like" a lot. I think that is, like, somewhat biassed. - Redmess 11:13, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
:(

Copy editing this article
[edit]Hello. I am in the middle of copy editing this article, for the following reasons:
- An incredible amount of fancruft
- Poor ordering, sometimes using parts of the various sketches before they are introduced
- Too much information about individual sketches
- Several unnecessary sections, such as "Unseen Sketches"
- PGSONIC (talk) 23:16, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Done, though I may be editing further. - PGSONIC (talk) 00:17, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
The Amanda show ends?
[edit]Hey guys, do you know why The Amanda show ended? Did Nick cancel the show so they can do Drake&Josh?Veeboy (talk) 05:37, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Cliffhanger joke?
[edit]If I remember correctly, the last episode of the Amanda Show involved an episode of "Moody's Point" that ended in a "To Be Continued." Though the article says the show was cancelled shortly after the episode aired, might this have been a joke on the producers' part? Knowing this was the last episode, the producers might have intentionally ended the segment on a comically outrageous cliffhanger, with the story never to be resolved. Though if Moody's Point was a real show, it'd be tough to resolve a cliffhanger involving Moody returning to a family of trapeze artists. (And would Moody's mother ever come down from that renegade hot air balloon?) 24.60.88.170 (talk) 17:18, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Ask Ashley
[edit]Ask Ashley was NOT a Amanda Show skit, It was infact, an All That skit.
Airing again?
[edit]I've removed the following contentious text from the article:
- It now looks like it will start airing again on October 25, 2010.
{{Citation needed|date=June 2010}}
The problems are twofold: first, there is no source cited to back up the statement. Second, the "looks like" clause makes this read like original research.
WP:Verifiability requires that statements be attributable to a source; "The burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material." Since no evidence to back up this alleged airdate has been provided, I have removed it as unverifiable. —C.Fred (talk) 18:10, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
Recurring Sketches cut
[edit]I think it's worth thinking about cutting the recurring sketches down significantly, perhaps to the top half dozen or dozen by frequency. Smith(talk) 22:16, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
