Fair use rationale for Image:ElleryQ1955.jpg

[edit]

Image:ElleryQ1955.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Radio

[edit]

I've linked to two specific archival holdings of episodes of the radio program at archive.org, a non-profit facility. I've recently acquired an excellent reference book about the radio program specifically and, depending on how much material is useful to add, may split out the radio program from the television. If anyone has any comments on this proposal, they would be very welcome. Accounting4Taste:talk 17:40, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article hijack

[edit]

Article is titled The Adventures of Ellery Queen. The lede then explains that "The Adventures of Ellery Queen is the title of a radio series and four separate television series." The article then launches into a list of eleven films, none of which are titled The Adventures of Ellery Queen. Then a section listing two radio series, one of which is not titled The Adventures of Ellery Queen. Then a section about three television series, one of which is not titled The Adventures of Ellery Queen.

This is absurd and a violation of Wikipedia policy. In 24 hours, I will remove all mention of productions not titled The Adventures of Ellery Queen unless the article has been substantially rewritten to conform with Wikipedia standards. 2601:141:8101:BC10:5D09:58FF:F7C4:3044 (talk) 00:29, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It appears to have been one large edit without discussion back in 2016.[1] It has somehow stood all this time even though, as you note, none of these entries apply. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 15:54, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
