Needs "The" in the title
[edit]Just like "The Adam Carolla Show", his podcast is called "The Adam Carolla Podcast". Official site —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.145.121 (talk • contribs) 03:49, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Date of episode
[edit]The date/episode for the Manny Pacquiao controversy is WRONG. Someone please let me know where I can hear the correct episode. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.100.40.63 (talk) 12:04, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Show vs Network Pages
[edit]For now, please include content about the show only on this page. Any content regarding the network, finances, or other ACE shows should be done on the ACE Broadcasting Network page. I'm also trying to flesh out both this page and the network page. Any help with that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -Udeezy (talk) 03:38, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Episode list
[edit]Any reason why there is no episode list here? That would be extremely handy. --Sgtkabuki (talk) 00:13, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Unlike a weekly TV series that only runs a limited number of weeks out of the year, the show is daily and available most weekdays. Such a list would be enormous. I'm not sure that it would be appropriate as a separate article either. It's not as if we have daily episode lists for other shows, like The Daily Show for example. That sort of information is probably better left for other websites, imo. Shadowjams (talk) 03:08, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Strangely, we actually do have Daily Show: List of The Daily Show guests (2011). I ended up on Nerdist discussing a similar thing. It could be done if someone was motivated, and it should withstand notability, especially given how popular Ace's show apparently is. tedder (talk) 03:10, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Of course I have to put my foot in my mouth... we kinda have an episode list for the Daily Show, although it focuses on notable guests: List_of_The_Daily_Show_guests. That could be a useful model to follow if you're inclined to create it. But I'd make sure you focus on the guests... and notability should probably be the cornerstone of that. - a list of the more notable guests would probably be worthwhile, but generally I think about 95% of the guests meet notability requirements, the only non-notable people I can think of that have been interviewed would be the director of Birdemic and Phil Specter's loony girlfriend. --Sgtkabuki (talk) 21:46, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, Mark Maron's podcast seems to have quite a list, too: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_WTF_with_Marc_Maron_episodes — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sgtkabuki (talk • contribs) 21:48, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
It looks like consensus is that it would be fine to create such a list page if you can find a reliable list of guests/similar information, and articles like List of The Daily Show guests and List of WTF with Marc Maron episodes would be good templates to refer to when starting. And of course, link to it from here/other appropriate pages. Shadowjams (talk) 19:05, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'd suggest using the format of List of The Nerdist Podcast episodes, though since Carolla airs more often it'll probably need to be split by year. tedder (talk) 19:06, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Alison Rosen
[edit]Needs her own article at this point. 15:55, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed. The protection log for the redirect page cited that the page was repeatedly being recreated. What's the problem there? Did Alison herself object to having a page? 19:08, 17 March 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.69.226.244 (talk)
- Whether the subject of a biography wants the page is beside the point. The relevant criteria is wikipedia's WP:Notability guideline. In my opinion, at this moment Alison's a borderline case. Her notability is largely through Carolla's show and not much has changed since the last 3 deletion discussions. It's salted because it's been talked about and continually recreated. here, here, here, plus here. Shadowjams (talk) 23:22, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for the clarification - this is an interesting discussion. Just to make a well-meaning contribution, I'd note that Alison has been interviewed by Pete Holmes, Elizabeth Laime, Janet Varney, Duncan Trussell, Riki Lindhome, Paul Gilmartin, Bert Kreischer, and Jesse Thorn. Granted, some of these are of borderline notability themselves, and you could certainly call all of it self-promotional, but I wonder if it reflects a kind of notability not covered by WP:Notability. 74.69.226.244 (talk) 02:55, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- The last discussion was in 2011. Since then she has been hosting her own podcast, Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend, since 2012. It is regularly featured in Itunes' Top Podcasts. This has not been brought up in a deletion discussion.Listn2BlkSabth (talk) 04:03, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
