As a representative of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, I am updating information about the Thanks and Giving campaign to reflect changes from the previous year’s program. These updates are made strictly on a factual basis to ensure correct information about the program is in the public realm. ThanksandGiving webmaster 17:53, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Overview edit request

[edit]

I am requesting some edits to the overview of this page to better categorize the Thanks and Giving program. As it currently reads, the program is called the national fund-raising program of St. Jude. This is not the only national fundraising program St. Jude has. Further I'd like to give additional clarity on how donations are gathered and the amount raised by the program to date. Thanks for assistance and any feedback. I have posted the proposed edits here: [[1]] Joe at St. Jude (talk) 22:44, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The link you provided appears to be broken? Best to just include the suggested changes here on the Talk page. CorporateM (Talk) 22:49, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like this is the intended link: User:Joe at St. Jude/sandbox. I see a couple problems here though: the proposed text sounds OK (a little promotional but easily fixed) but doesn't include any supporting references, and this article should probably be merged into St. Jude Children's Research Hospital instead of being maintained as it is. The part of this article covering the Thanks and Giving program is somewhat short (two paragraphs), and the rest of the article is about the hospital and a list of corporate partners (which should probably be cut down). I'd like to propose redirecting this article to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and integrating this information into the "Funding" section of that article, which already includes some details about the Thanks and Giving program. Joe at St. Jude, can you provide reliable sources to help support your proposed text? I tried doing a quick search for references but only found press releases.
