Chancellor
[edit]A couple questions... Is Kent Hance technically the chancellor of HSC? I'm not sure if he is since TTU and HSC are different institutions. Also, I don't know if HSC students are actually "red raiders."--Elred 05:07, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, Kent Hance is the chancellor of HSC. He's the chancellor of the Texas Tech University System; chancellor is a system-level position, whereas "president" is institution-level (that's switched at some other schools, but that's how it works at TTU. The system includes, basically, TTU and TTUHSC, so Hance is essentially the boss of the presidents of those two schools. --Myles Long 14:20, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]The picture on this page is of University Medical Center, the county hospital that is attached to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. The hospital faces south while the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center faces north. University Medical Center is not actually part of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.Texastechpt (talk) 02:37, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
- Good point. Elred (talk · contribs) took the picture. Hopefully he'll weigh in. →Wordbuilder (talk) 05:09, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Outdated Info (as of Oct. 2021)
[edit]Hello,
I am the social media manager for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). I know that as a paid employee of the university I should not edit our own article. However, there are several pieces of outdated or inaccurate information included within it.
Below is a list of those, the correct information, and supporting documentation where possible. We would appreciate any help from Wikipedia editors to help correct these if possible. I’m happy to clarify anything or answer questions that I can.
Thank you!

Missing School
- The “Schools” section only lists four of our five schools. The “Graduate School of Biomedical Medicine” is missing. The next bullet point is a suggested paragraph about that school.
- In 1994, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences became a separate school to provide educational training to students who seek research careers in biomedical sciences. With campuses in Lubbock, Amarillo, Abilene and an online MPH, the mission of the school is to educate the next generation of scientists and health-related professionals in a dynamic and productive research environment that fosters creativity and discovery. The school currently has five graduate programs: M.S. in Biotechnology, Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, M.S. in Graduate Medical Education Sciences, MPH in Public Health, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Introductory Paragraph
- El Paso is not a campus. In the first sentence of the article and in the righthand sidebar, “El Paso” is included in the list of TTUHSC campuses. TTUHSC El Paso is actually a separate institution within the Texas Tech University System. They are independent from the main TTUHSC. https://elpaso.ttuhsc.edu/
- There are now five universities in the TTU System. Midwestern State University joined in Sept. 2021.https://www.texastech.edu/stories/21-09-msu-texas-joins-ttu-system.php
