I am doing a desertation on Celebrity Endorsement, I am finding it difficult to collect relevant and up to date information. Happy !Is there any who could help me?

=== Article Intervention === "Due to the placebo effect and to people's reluctance to expose their frailties to apparently remote and opaque medical doctors, cures for frailties both physical and mental, both real and imagined, continue to sell."

How does this remain here for so long? While this article is an interesting "discussion" - or better, debate - there is little attribution. Will remove but fear altering this article to nothingness. Maltiti2005 14:06, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Testimonial

[edit]

yes I have only ever heard what the article is saying being reffered to as "Celebrity Endorsement" and yes I do know what I am talking about. I propose the article to be rewrited under Celebrity Endorsement and a disambig from Testimonial to CE as testimonial has other uses which take priority. Makes sense. I disagree. What you are referring to are in fact 'celebrity endorsements'. This article is primarily about customer testimonials (ie. positive testimony regarding a product or service by someone who is not a celebrity). There should be 2 separate headings, and the two will more than likely reference each other... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Truthwhale (talkcontribs) 18:32, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Staunton chess set

[edit]

"Staunton chess set, possibly the first use of an expert testimonial to promote a commercial product" is false. Gladiators in the Roman arena endorsed products and graced billboards. See Historical accuracy of Gladiator (2000 film)#Gladiatorial, last bullet point. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.191.192.213 (talk) 21:31, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
