Termatosaurus, a phytosaur

[edit]

Actually, Termatosaurus is a genus of phytosaur named by Hermann von Meyer and T. Plieninger in 1844. The type species is Termatosaurus albertii von Meyer & Plieninger, 1844, with a second species, T. crocodilinus Quenstedt, 1852. Therefore remove Termatosaurus from the category "Invalid dinosaurs" and tranfer it to the category "Phytosaurs".

The man is absolutely right. Termatosaurus appears to have wormed its way onto modern dinosaur genera lists as a typo\transposition taking a couple of species from Tetragonosaurus, when it was really a phytosaur all along. J. Spencer 16:35, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
