[edit]See WP:AN3#User:DDF19483 reported by User:Attilios (Result: Protected) for a report of the edit war which has been going on here since May. This does not reflect well on either of the participants. Please open a discussion here on the matters under dispute. Each side should explain what their major issues are. I can assist with the steps of WP:Dispute resolution if anyone wants to explore that option. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 00:48, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

- DDF19483, it would be helpful if you could make a list of some things you want to add to this article, or some changes you want to make. The dispute has been going on since May, but there is nothing here on the talk page from either of you to tell us what this is about. I'd like to suggest to you that you stop deleting things from your user talk for a while, since it makes it hard for the rest of us to tell what is going on. If you're going to participate here, you should be willing to communicate. EdJohnston (talk) 12:46, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- You have also been removing routine notices that were not attacking you. I suggest you avoid using words such as 'ignorance' here since it could make it harder to take you seriously. If this dispute is taken to a wider audience, they will want to see if you guys have been making a sincere effort to work out your differences about the article. Your above statement contains nothing about the article, you are simply criticizing your opponent. EdJohnston (talk) 14:32, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- I'd like to point out that the fact I've a lot of edit wars it's absolutely false!!!! I'm not involved into an edit war since years, and when it happened it was because I was unexperienced. Further, notice how this unnamed users (probably an Italian from Teramo; notice also his very poor English and approximative knowledge of Wikipedia rules) has removed from his talk page all my comments. Initially I addressed him politely, and he removed it. I did it again, but he removed again. After this, I started to considered him not a serious wikipedian, inviting him to abandon Wikipedia due to its poor allegiance to its rules. His whole attention here is devoted only in restoring his Teramo version, which, I repeat, is poorly written, and full of errors since he continues to revert to version before corrections (you can notice this by the fact that bots, for example, reintroduce interwikis after each of his revertions). Let me know and good work. --Attilios (talk) 15:22, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- Please give some examples of what you consider to be the errors introduced by DDF19483 in the article. EdJohnston (talk) 16:03, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

- Here's a list of problems in DDF194830's version:
- most of history subsections are timelines
So? so is this 1
- section "13th century" has just one line. No point to have it.
Why? just because you say so?
- "xth century" titles contain the dates too (ex. 1101-1200). No need of that.
again Why? look at 2
- "Castello della Monica" is a nightmare of POV. Its beginning speaks by itself: "It is a dream come true"...
If you had any idea of the theme in hand you'd know it was actually a dream
- Beginning of "Madonna delle Grazie" section is confusing ("Urbe" refers to Rome... what's the relation with Teramo?)
Again, you have no idea. It is indeed referring to Rome
- Section "Duomo" has several POV and typos
- "Normand count" instead of "Norman count"
Typo
- in the section Roman Age, use of capitals after a comma; the user did not link properly to Battle of Sentinum
Typo
- "B.c." instead of "B.C."
Typo
- grammar error: "the presence of the Goths in Interamnia are active"
Typo
- "Lombards invasion" instead of "Lombard invasion"
Typo and it is instead of Lombards' invasion
- Roger II was not the first King of the Two Sicilies, but just the first King of Sicily
Please read some history 3
- Gastronomy section has improper use of boldface
- Image size and placing is messy
- Use of WP:weasel words here and there ("astounding", "beauty of the masterpiece"
Isn't it enough? Notice that the previous list comes after just a quick glance. I remember before rewriting the article I found even more. As you can see, in face of so many problems, I thought the better decision was to entirely rewrite the article and to compact to a more sober version, which I believe is pretty enough for the importance Teramo can have in an English-language encyclopedia. A separate article about the outstanding Cathedral of Teramo is in my schedule for coming days. My version, in the end, consisted mostly in a rewritten (according to Wikipedia standards) history section, addition of a "Main sights", more compact section for sights, and just improvements here and there, where needed, in the other sections, and removal of some too local informations. Ciao and good work. --Attilios (talk) 21:18, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- I think a user starting a message about me with "he has more edit wars than hair on his head" (look at my picture to understand his "sense of humour" and nice approach to other users), and accusing others of illiteracy after writing "the 99% of those" (aside of the debatable grammar level, notice the lack of Wikipedia standard indentation, and the lack of capital) can be easily judged. Returning to the point, any experienced user can notice that in my list of errors the typos are very few; the remaining are most matter of lack of wikipedicity, confusione between characters and other similar ones. --Attilios (talk) 12:16, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
(Personal attack removed) DDF19483 (talk) 12:26, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
Let's take a look at his work:
Middle Ages
[edit]- Even though informations about this age are scanty (ESL)
- Not an error
Informations is an error !!!!! look at 4
- Teramo is then anew included in the Marchia Firmana, under the Greek Exarchate of Ravenna. The city is now governed by a count of the Marchia Firmana. Later it was a Lombard fief. present or past tense? (ESL)
- During the strife following the latter's accession ???? (ESL)
- "Accession" means "reaching the throne"
I know what it means it's completely wrong in this context though and so is latter's
- In the 1268 the domination of the House of Hohenstaufen, who had inherited Sicily from Roger II's line, ended, to be replaced by that of the House of Anjou. Incomprensible (ESL)
- Ok, correc it
- The ecclesiastical authority of the Aprutina Diocese, led by the bishops Rainaldo Acquaviva, Niccolò degli Arcioni (1317), Stefano da Teramo (1335) and Pietro di Valle (1366) It's Rainaldo di Acquaviva, Pietro de Valle and Stefano di Teramo
- No; "Stefano da Teramo" is the correct spelling
No it is not 5
- The people of Teramo rebelled, but in vain. wrong and (ESL)
- OK, correct it
- In 1925 the first Italian Psychoanalytic Society wasfounded in Teramo. Typo
- OK, correct it
- The episode will be remembered as “Bosco Martese battle” is remembered (ESL)
- Mea culpa; most of the typos come from a version not written by me, I should correct it. --Attilios (talk) 10:58, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Modern Era
[edit]- which was located in a square known nowadays as Piazza Garibaldi (ESL)
Main Sights
[edit]- • the Cathedral of Saint Berardo, built in 1158 by bishop Guido II Does he really think a bishop built a church?
- It means the commissioner of the work
Probably in your mind not in English
- It houses a silver paliotto (verb missing) by Nicola of Guardagriele (with 35 scenes of the life of Jesus) and a polyptych (verb missing) by the Venetian artist Jacobello del Fiore
- Verb are NOT missing
Your usage is somewhat unclear I can accept that usage with paintings but most people don't know what a paliotto or a polyptych is, you'd better make things clearer
- Only the presbyterium and some Romanesque elements remain of the original building. (ESL)
- I don't see it's wrong in English
of the original building is probably Italian not English, btw "I don't see it's wrong in English" is not proper English either.
Culture
[edit]- A week in October is also dedicated to an international photography of film show (ESL)
- Not written by me. Correct it.--Attilios (talk) 11:00, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- The Observatory of Teramo was founded by Vincenzo Cerulli in 1890-1891, and donated to the Italian state in 1891 The Italian state? (ESL)
- Yes. Italian state. --Attilios (talk) 10:59, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
What is the Italian state? in any case State is capitalized but the Italian State here is wrong.
Transportation
[edit]- Teramo is located150 km away from Rome Typo

Errors in Attilios version
[edit]Sure there are typos to be corrected here and there, and the language is not perfect. But it at least following the Wikipedia rules. While DDF's version is written from a totally wrong point of view, both in format than in style (POV, Weasel Words etc.). Notice most of the grammar errors he attributes to me, are not errors at all (for example DDF doesn't know that one can write "a painting by", he needs a verb between "painting" and "by". Why?). And most of the typos come from a previous version. Not written by me. Let me know and good work. I think once corrected the typos and the few true grammar errors the version will be OK according to Wikipedia guidelines. --Attilios (talk) 11:02, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- Dear EdJohnston, it's my turn to have no words in front of such personal attack. --Attilios (talk) 13:40, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- I have used the rpa template to mark some places where I removed personal attacks by DDF19483. All of us can benefit by more attention to English style, and it is easy to get people to fix language mistakes when the underlying facts are OK. Courteous feedback is always appreciated. - Your arrogance is terrific. --Attilios (talk) 17:52, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Restoring previous established version
[edit]I don't know why this articles seems to attract enthusiast who however have no idea how to write a WIki-compliant article, not to mention an encyclopedic one. I reverted it back to a previous, at least decently written and formatted version. --Attilios (talk) 18:07, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
"I don't know why this articles seems to attract enthusiast who however have no idea how to write a WIki-compliant article, not to mention an encyclopedic one." Hey Attilios, how've you been?, it's been long time, glad to see your English hasn't improved in the least. DDF19483 (talk) 17:33, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for your usual, immense (and, believe me, totally unjustified) arrogance. Please keep this way. --Attilios (talk) 18:18, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- The arrogant Teramo troll is always watching! Taking advantage of my absence from Wikipedia, he keeps restoring his poorly formatted version. Can anybody help? Attilios (talk) 08:40, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

Abruzzo is a region of southern Italy; not central Italy. This is according ISTAT 123.243.122.42 (talk) 13:57, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
Partly done Geographically it is central, but for statistical purposes is part of the Mezzogiorno, or Southern Italy, however this has political overtones. To avoid arguments it is, perhaps, best left out, so I have removed, "Central" but not added "southern". - Arjayay (talk) 15:40, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
Agreed. Thank you for the prompt response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.243.122.42 (talk) 11:51, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
