The stanza "The Assyrian King Sargon II was trying to capture Marduk-apal-iddina II who fled to Kuara where upon Sargon's army laid siege and destroyed the city in 709 BCE." I added is a paraphrase from The Cambridge Ancient History, p.99 suggests the site Tell al-Lahm is Dur-Yakin, yet I have not found any other source connecting the name Dur-Yakin with Kuara (Tell al-Lahm). The Cambridge histories series is pretty authoritative and only uses primary sources but I'm not sure of the stanzas validity. If it is true then the name Dur-Yakin should be added as an alt. name if not the stanza should be deleted. -Kain Nihil11:37, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
