Ted Healy and His Stooges

Is there a source on the claim that the Three Stooges never went by the name `Ted Healy and His Stooges'? While all other sources I've consulted say they DID go by this name, I'm wary of the way patently untrue movie trivia gradually morphs into accepted fact if repeated often enough, so I've got an open mind on this one (and have left the reference in).

Chronology?

What the heck does this mean? 1931=>1932=>1930=>1934...? "Healy continued to have great success in vaudeville, however. In 1931 he hired a new set of stooges, consisting of Eddie Moran (soon replaced by Richard "Dick" Hakins), Jack Wolf, and Paul "Mousie" Garner. The Howard-Fine-Howard Stooges rejoined Healy's act in 1932, obtaining higher salaries and a promise from Healy to quit drinking. They made one movie, appearing in Soup to Nuts (1930). don't get it

This is a bit confusing. Was he celebrating the birth of his first son some time after the child was born? Or perhaps the birth was that of twins? Maybe health problems from the injuries persisted and eventually shortened his life a la Warhol?

There is still some confusion over the timing of the birth of Healy's son. On the one hand the story says he received news of his wife's pregnancy two days before his death. But then it says his son was baptized a week after his death! --Blainster (talk) 07:23, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Poorly Written Article

This article is is not only poorly written and confusing in some areas, it also includes innuendos and opinion regarding Healy's career and his death. It is amazing this article has lasted this long without a general cleanup or complete write up done to it. Some areas are offensive to the eyes and mind trying to decipher what's been written. Constantly referring to Howard this and Howard that, as someone just learning to write will do, thinking they are being clear when in fact, they haven't quite figured out how to write with pronouns properly.

Personally, I just prefer to read articles and comment here and there without involving myself to too much editing. I haven't quite taken the time to figure out how to add tags, I just do not have the time for that, preferring to refer an article in discussion for someone else who is up to editing or tagging to take over where I leave off.

So could someone either do the editing/revision needed, especially in the 'death' seciton, or send it off to be cleaned up. thanx Brattysoul (talk) 00:39, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Ted Healy cause of death

It's listed in the article as murder, yet a search of newspaper articles from the time list natural causes as the COD. Could the alleged scuffle be a contributing cause but not the definitive reason for Mr Healys demise?

I took some liberty in including some newspaper references in the murder section.

The entire "murder" angle is nothing more than speculation, as is the source from which it came. I, too, am not sure why it still remains. I edited the cause of death to reflect the cause as listed on the death certificate. Windowshopping (talk) 04:27, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
