Fair use rationale for Image:Tecmo logo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Tecmo logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:05, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tons of Tecmo lawsuits

[edit]

The pile of lawsuits they've been receiving may result in some significant damages, perhaps they may even go the way of 3D0.

  1. Itagaki's lawsuit's been known for a while - unpaid bonuses for Dead or Alive 4.
  2. According to 1UP, more than three-dozen Team Ninja employees left, and joined the class action lawsuit for unpaid bonuses.
  3. And most recently, the two top executives of Tecmo's labor union are joining suit for unpaid wages, claiming they falsified documents and accounting procedures in regards to employment statuses, overtime pay, and more. Famitsu added that Tecmo's violated a "ton" of employment contracts and regulations, and did not pay employees for working on public holidays or working overtime.

So, just thought it was a matter of significance that Tecmo may become belly up. Someone may want to add mention of these lawsuits into the article. - A Link to the Past (talk) 07:36, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Square takeover attempt

[edit]

Square already took over the Taito Corporation who produced Demon Sword. Tecmo produced the classic Rygar which took off as a PS2 remake. I think Demon Sword is just as good if not a better NES game, yet with all their resources Square doesn't seem to have done anything with it. What is very unfortunate, is Tecmo owns the rights to Ninja Gaiden, and Ashtar from Dark Sword of Chaos basically IS Victar, the hero of Demon Sword, turned evil in modern times, so they could have merged the genres. The Demon Sword's design is like a swordbreaker, it would have been the perfect thing to face against Ryu. Tyciol (talk) 07:20, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Amusement?

[edit]

Could someone please define or provide examples of "amusement equipment" (as mentioned in the first paragraph of "History")? Boneyard90 (talk) 08:32, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
