Hi, There seems to have been an error in edit recently (about 17 Sep 2010) that incorrectly assumed Technacy Theory and its research basis in Australian Government reports and recommendations, and peer reviewed research journals is referring to the same ideas as "Technological Literacy". This error of fact, must be corrected. There are two ways to do this. The preferred is to re-instate the separate article that was in place before it was somehow inadvertently linked back to "Technological Literacy", or for the Article on Technological Literacy to have a new heading section in it to refer to Technacy theory and its research links. As I do not know how to re-create the original article, I recommend it is embedded as a heading section inside this one.

Hi! I added a redirect from Technological competency to this page. It would probably be better if someone created an article on technological competency, but it's not my subject area. --Malcohol 10:24, 12 January 2006 (UTC) UMM IDK[reply]

I added the POV-check message. This part: “Technological literacy is the ability to understand and evaluate technology,” is vague and seems propagandic. This part: “We live in a world where not many kids ar [sic] prepared for the internet,” is clearly an opinion and doesn’t support the article well. A general problem with the use of the word “technology” in this article (and elsewhere, although it is qualified once here) is that it is usually used as a synonym for “computers,” although that is incorrect; it means “applied science” and applies to all tools, including those which predate our species.
