Comment about claim to be first all transgender sports team
I know of an earlier all transgender team, the Trans National Women's Cycling Team. It was an all transgender USA Cycling Team that was formed in 2016, and was active for 3 seasons - 2017, 2018, and 2019. Although the website no longer exists (used to be tnwcteam.com), Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/TNWCTeam/), Strava Group (https://www.strava.com/clubs/trans-national-women-s-cycling-245383), and it's history does - https://www.road-results.com/team/49652. It was disbanded as a registered Cycling team primarily due to the distance between active members (there aren't that many of us to field a national team) and partially due to a better climate/inclusion in the sport. All active racing members were picked up by local Women's teams or national sponsors.
I'm familiar with this partially because I was a member of the team (shortly after creation), board member, and was the website administrator till it was shutdown. ChristinePenn (talk) 20:19, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
