For every 100 females...

[edit]

Doesn't boilerplate text like, "For every 100 females there were 91.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 79.3 males", sound silly in an article on a town where the entire population is less than 100?

Why not just write, "there were 36 females and 33 males; among adults aged 18 or over, there were 29 females and 23 males." --Heath 24.127.115.128 (talk) 16:43, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
