Stub status

[edit]

Considering so little is known about him, I wonder if the "stub" tag is really needed. Usually a stub tag is appropriate for an article that needs work, that needs more information to be added, but if (at present) there's little or no available information to be added, and the article itself even explains this, it's almost redundant. - Ugliness Man 13:00, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Got to agree with that. I mean when the man decides not to give out information about himself, we reallyu cant do much to make an article about him . Better we just make it a redirect and put this on Sinfest.

Picture

[edit]

Is that really a picture of him? And... Where did you get it from? All the picture says is "I took this," and isn't very helpful. Shadic 05:56, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure where current pic came from, but i've found this somewhere on the web quite a while ago and i'm 95% sure that is him. Sorry, cannot find the link i got it from now... --Duke B. Garland 20:32, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You probably got the picture from here. Now, altouhg the name does says Tatsuya Ishida, I seriously doubt it's the same person, because this is a Communications student, and Sinfest's Ishida is an artist (and because of his style, he problably studied arts). I suggest neither photo be used, because there is no proof he really is the man in the photo. I would suggest, at tops, that someone puts self portrait of him, from a Pooch and Percy strip, AND stablishing that "this is a probable self portrait of ishida, as the comic suggests this carachter is him"--201.223.253.134 02:30, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I second that Tetris11 16:35, 07 February 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.44.48.149 (talk) [reply]

It was posted on the Sinfest forum by Tat. In a thread were people posted pictures of themselves. Whether or not it's his picture remains a mystery, but since we have nothing else to go on this will have to do. Julius88 22:15, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw another picture posted on the internet: an Asian man with a goatee, wearing a white turtleneck under a black blazer...? Has anyone else seen it? He looked a little bit older to me but it could have been the facial hair that made him look older. --24.83.240.183 (talk) 09:10, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Pragmatic[reply]

Lamb of God video

[edit]

I removed the following statement from the article: "He appears briefly on Lamb of God´s video for the song "Ruin" at minute 2:47, band members being Sinfest fans invited him to appear on it." It was unsourced and to be honest, I've seen the video and I can't see anyone who resembles him. The edit looked like vandalism or a joke to me. If someone can find a source of this (an interview, a forum post, anything) post it here so we can put it back up. --– sampi (talkcontribemail) 06:17, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger Proposal

[edit]

This is almost entirely about Sinfest, cites no sources, and is rife with original research. Maratanos (talk) 02:35, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree with the proposal. I've gone through this article a few times now and the vast majority of it is unsourced and downright crufty. Trusilver 02:29, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't see original research as a reason to merge it. I think we either need to find sources (and then merge it if it still contains this little information) or just delete it.
  • Don't agree. There is no shame in a short article, and Sinfest definitely deserves its own entry. Mvuijlst (talk) 12:17, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree with Mvuijst, that Sinfest deserves its own entry. I feel that the lenght of the Sinfest articale is well made and thought out. While this is off topic, I would be more then willing to help cite sources for the Sinfest article. Maybe even find more information to flesh out the Tatsuya Ishida artical with more sources if needed.CygnetFlying (talk) 03:52, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

verum corpus

[edit]
He has been increasingly featured in his own strip, as the body of Pooch and Percival's Master.

I wonder what the writer meant by "the body of". It seems to suggest that image of Master is not Master himself but an actor (representing Ishida?) who portrays him ... How many levels of indirection and unreality can there be? —Tamfang (talk) 03:29, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

These are just speculations, of no encyclopaedic significance. I remove that sentence. Please discuss here before undoing. --Farzaneh (talk) 12:31, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
