Over-quotation, and "Reception" section

[edit]

The "Reception" section of the article is currently made up almost entirely of long, mostly unnecessary quotations (with more long and mostly unnecessary quotations earlier in the page as well). However, the arguably more significant issue with the section as it currently stands is that none of the current section describes the reception of the book itself (which is, of course, impossible to provide, since the book's not out yet); it's all just "reception" of the announcement of the book (and what has been announced about what it will contain). Calling this a "Reception" section is somewhat misleading. See point #5 under WP:FUTURE:

Wikipedia is not a collection of product announcements and rumors. Although Wikipedia includes up-to-date knowledge about newly revealed products, short articles that consist of only product announcement information are not appropriate. Until such time that more encyclopedic knowledge about the product can be verified, product announcements should be merged to a larger topic (such as an article about the creator(s), a series of products, or a previous product) if applicable.

There may be something relevant to discuss as the book gets closer to release, but as it currently stands, the entire article is essentially just a rehashing of "only product announcement information". Most of the actual product information seems encyclopedic and well-sourced, but very little of the "Publication history" as it currently stands actually provides new information on the book's "publication history", and none of the "Reception" section tells us about the book's reception (only the reception of its announcement). Frankly, the latter section is probably entirely unnecessary at this point, as there's not going to be any meaningful information about the reception of the book itself until the book is in people's hands.
