Combine It
I recommend that this article be combined with the article for Tarkio, MO. 12.110.196.19
- I disagree. Closed colleges are still notable enough to have their own articles. Beginning 15:00, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Proposal to merge and move
Geographic distinguishers only need to be used when there are multiple colleges with the same name. There was only one Tarkio College, so the "Missouri" is unnecessary. However, Tarkio College is redirecting to this page, so they need to be swapped somehow. Beginning 19:50, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
This article has been renamed as the result of a move request. Vegaswikian 08:18, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks so much! I'll go through and fix any redirects now. :) Beginning 01:35, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Updated References
Still need at least one good reference (I've noted it on the article), and possibly some clean-up/rearranging. SqlPac 17:25, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Brewer & Shipley album
It is asserted in the article that the album was named for the college and not for the town. It's understood that it's about the town. Need a source to back that up. The Dissident Aggressor 20:20, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
Tarkio College May Not Be Dead
It is not by accident that Tarkio Alumni chose the phoenix as their symbol. For years they have been trying different ways to revive the College. They have won the right to establish a corporation named “Tarkio College.” Initially, they rented Rankin Hall from the then owners. The Winter Alumni Newsletter (2015-2016) reports that they now have ownership, free and clear, of the entire campus, and plan to apply for accreditation to grant Associate Degrees that can easily be transferred to four year colleges. Unfortunately, this newsletter is not yet posted on the Alumni Association Website www.tarkioalumni.org/main.html, nor reflected on the Tarkio College website http://tarkiocollege.com/ or the town website www.tarkiomo.com/index.html. However, the background can be clearly seen on those websites.Rev.trw379 (talk) 20:10, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
