i corrected some factual points, like inserting gwo machin and auto bus, and added greater depth to the entire article. i also added some interesting points on the tap-tap in general, like the fact that some tap-tap riders (especially 'blans') might be charged more due to the socio-economic and cultural gap. i think this point should be elaborated on more, pointing to other issues of 'post-colonialism' or 'racism'.

I believe it would benefit the reader to know that on average you can generally do short trips for 10 gourdes per rider. If more details were desired it could describe the process and the exchange of money. This can also be an area to include information that yes, 'blans' (non-Haitians) are generally overcharged than Haitians in these situations. Within this subtopic it could link also to the Haitian gourdes Wikipedia page.[reply]

it should also be noted that art historian robert ferris thompson wrote an article about tap-taps in the journal 'african arts.' his article, however, has a theoretical trajectory that is inappropriate for the scope of this page, or at least at this point. i'm in the process of writing an anthropological paper on other aspects of the tap-tap, including points on popular socio-economic resistance, social networks, and political economy. feel free to message me.
