Bird reference numbers
[edit]Could 'somebody/the article' please explain what the reference numbers in the List of Birds section (62-887) actually refer to. Chienlit (talk) 13:56, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
- I suspect it refers to distribution maps from Field Guide to Birds of South Africa (Photographic Field Guide) by Ian Sinclair and Robert T. Teske (Jun 1997) ISBN:1868255107. Should be removed. --NJR_ZA (talk) 14:39, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

Tankwa Karoo National Park precipitation
[edit]The following link http://www.sanparks.org/parks/tankwa/tourism/general.php indicates that the Tankwa Karoo National Park receives less than 100 mm of precipitation
however the figure in this Web page featuring the average monthly rainfall shows that
the annual rainfall averaged per month at the Roodewerf station (coordinates : S32°14’27.9” E20°05’44.5”, see http://www.sanparks.mobi/parks/tankwa/vital_information/) located in this park, is equal to 15 mm.
That means that the average annual precipitation at the Roodewerf station is equal to 180 mm (=15*12) therefore it is hugely superior to 100 mm.
