Two Pulitzers in the Same Year

[edit]

The first paragraph of the article states, "It has won twelve Pulitzer Prizes since 1964, and in 2009, won two in a single year for the first time in its history." However, the chart at the end of the article shows it winning 19 Pulitzer prizes, including two in 1999. Am I missing something here? Captrobb (talk) 16:48, 15 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Captrobb; hello Captrobb, and it makes sense. I didn't realize it at first either once you mentioned it, but the answer is that the newspaper has won nineteen awards; however twelve of those wins are from the Pulitzer Prize, while the other seven awards are from Sigma Delta Chi, Scripps Howard Foundation, and the Florida Society of News Editors, which the two in 1999 were from Sigma Delta Chi. Hope this helped! Adog104 Talk to me 17:02, 15 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
