Tallmadge as the only city in the country in two counties

[edit]

Tallmadge is the only city in the country to lie in two counties.

This claim is doubtful without substantiation. Other municipalities in the county, in fact, are in the same two counties: Summit County and Portage County. Tallmadge lies in two counties because it annexed parts of the township of Brimfield in the 1990s. I have mediated the claim for now but invite others to substantiate its uniqueness if evidence exists.-161.32.246.200 03:15, 27 June 2006 (UTC) MR[reply]

Tallmadge as having the most churches per capita in the world

[edit]

Tallmadge holds the Guinness World Record for having the most churches per capita in the world. This distinction led to Tallmadge being the answer to a question in the game Trivial Pursuit.

This is likely the stuff of suburban legends. The page from the Guinness World Record book or the Trivial Pursuit card would be a nice addition to the article if, for some reason, it is true. Until then, I am removing it from the article.-Verbaetlittera 04:57, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can confirm this as I am a resident of the city. However I doubt that meets the policies of confirmation that Wikipedia has.184.56.17.211 (talk) 05:56, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Roundabout?

[edit]

Is it accurate to describe Tallmadge Circle as a roundabout? That term is usually reserved for the newer, high-speed intersections built specifically for traffic management, not for circles around town commons. I'd recommend traffic circle. Mapsax (talk) 23:26, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plus originally it was a square, which should be explained as well. I'll do so when I find documentation if someone doesn't do it first. --Beirne (talk) 20:28, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
