Last name pronunciation
[edit]Does Tal pronounce his last name the same way as does his father Randy? Apparently not, but this needs to be clarified. The father insists that the correct way to pronounce the name sounds like BACKman. However, this appears to be an odd sort of Canadianism. In the US and other countries the name is always pronounced like BOCKman. See the Randy Bachman and BTO articles for more details. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.172.200.183 (talk) 05:18, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

[edit]I've updated a website but I am not completely sure if it is the official website. I realize there is another official site listed, but the one I have just added, looks legitimate to me also. Thanks. AWDracer 04 Feb 2006
Keri Kelli
[edit]I've heard that Keri Kelli played guitar for Tal Bachman, but I don't know much about this. Gringo300 16:36, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Mission
[edit]At a speech in 2005, Tal said that he left college to be a missionary. Greenw47 15:34, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm, so could we say:
Raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (of which he is no longer a member), Bachman interrupted his studies at Utah State University to serve a two-year mission for the church in Argentina. For nearly three years after returning to the United States and attending college at Utah State University and Brigham Young University, Bachman worked on his music career.
(Or did he leave Brigham Young U to go to the mission? Maybe just "interrupted his college studies to serve"?)
I find this initial paragraph of the Bio section written very awkwardly, as if it's trying to put out too much information in just two sentences. Maybe reword the second sentence as:
After returning to the United States and attending college at (Utah State & Brigham Young), Bachman worked on his music career.
But wait, is this trying to say that he was focusing on developing a music career while studying at uni? Or is it a typo and meant that he began to work on becoming a professional musician after finishing college (or DID he finish, this merely states 'attended') Gah, I think to much in the early mornings! Make what you will of my suggestions Empath 12:56, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Updates, 8 kids
[edit]Contacted the artist through a mutual friend. He let me know that he does NOT want his wife's name on this page, and that he now has 8 children. Don't know where that came from, so I'm making those changes. Greenw47 17:03, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
New album
[edit]The newest album is still awaiting US release, so I fixed that. As soon as I know the release date, I'll edit it again. Daftgretel 23:09, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Religion
[edit]I've read in his blog that he's currently an agnostic, ignaciomosca 08:15, 27 Agu 2010 (UTC)
Could you provide the source? 2600:1700:EDC0:3E80:205D:B57:E30A:415D (talk) 23:03, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
Corrections from an acquaintance
[edit]Tal was not born in 1974, as was indicated in the article. I'm pretty sure he was born in 1968, but don't know the month or day for sure. He returned from Argentina in late 1989. Must have gone there in late 1987. In 1991 he was attending BYU. Seems like he had been attending Utah State but transfered down to Provo and was studying Political Science or some such. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.20.160.251 (talk) 23:50, 21 Aug 2006 (UTC)
Where does he live?
[edit]First paragraph says Victoria. Then, middle of the bio, says Saltspring Island... this is confusing. Someone knows which one is true to this date?--Smumdax (talk) 10:12, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
New album
[edit]As I see on his Facebook profile Tal Bachman will release a new album called Masquerade. Can someone proove it? Goroth (talk) 18:01, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Special:Diff/1066497841. I'm letting it stand because there wasn't a source characterising him as politically conservative. Despite the COI, the change is correct. ⁓ Pelagic ( messages ) 18:11, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
