notability

[edit]

I believe this individual meets the basic criteria for notability: "A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of published, secondary source material which is reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject." Tae Hong Choi was the subject of a newspaper article published at the time of his death. I believe this qualifies as published, reliable and intellectually independent. In addition, Choi served as vice president of the Amateur Athletic Union (the governing body for Taekwondo in the USA) and the United States TaeKwonDo Union. This level of national service seems to me to make this individual sufficiently notable, so i have removed the tag. ErinHowarth (talk) 06:29, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

interview information validity

[edit]

I recently interviewed Tae-Hong Choi's son (Hung Choi) about his father. I learned some more information about him that is not in the Wikipedia page but was unsure as to whether this interview information would be valid. Does anyone have any experience with this or know what, if any, kind of information I can use from an interview to use to edit a Wikipedia page?
