Contested Speedy deletion

[edit]

This article is factual rather than promotional. It is a completely encyclopedic (albeit short) article on a notable private equity firm. Additionally, this article is more than a year old- while this should not be the basis for determining whether speedy deletion is appropriate, it does make me question why this approach was taken. The article makes no assertion about the quality or performance of the firm, does not endorse the firm in any way. In fact the placement of an "advert" tag would not be suitable here. I would ask the tagging editor to explain the inclusion of this tag. |► ϋrбanяeneωaℓTALK ◄| 19:18, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you, and I declined the speedy. The article is sourced and decent as is, and clearly doesn't have a promotional/G11 tone. JamieS93 Only You Can Prevent Drama 20:17, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
