Merge proposal

[edit]

The name of the town discussed in the article is Pugalur. TNPL refers to the company (TNPL) that has a signicant presence in the town, but the article is not about the company, it is about the town. Since a separate article exists discussing Pugalur, the information from these articles should be merged. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:30, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pugalur does not mean TNPL. TNPL is one of the company in pugalur. EID parry company also comes under punjai pugalur ,they can't say that its EID pugalur.Pugalur have two regions nanjai and punjai.Iam creating about that. TNPL comes in between Nanjai and punjai pugalur. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Malaiappasamy (talkcontribs) 14:44, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps you have misunderstood my intentions. I understand fully that TNPL is but one company that exists at Pugalur. However, the article titled TNPL Pugalur appears to be about the town in general, rather than about the company. As such, the information at that article should be included in Pugalur. My contention is that the article TNPL Pugalur should not exist at all. Since this discussion relates to the merge proposal I have made, it should be discussed the link provided in the merge proposal box on the article, not here on my talk page. I will copy these posts to the appropriate page; please make all further comments regarding the topic there.
Dear All,I Agree with Mr.Malaiappasamy.
It will be a big blender, if we merge Pugalur & TNPL Pugalur, TNPL Pugalur is a article which is supposed to have a name of Kagithapuram. Kagithapuram & Pugalur are two different Panchayats among Punnam, Nanjai Pugalur, Punjai Pugalur, Vettamangalam, Thirukkaduthurai, Kombupalayam, and Punjai Thottakuruchi. Pls have a look at Tamilnadu Election Commissions Data] Raj6644 (talk) 12:46, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps I am confused by the naming of Indian places (I'm an American). If "TNPL Pugalur" should really be named Kagithapuram, then we should just move the article to its proper title, and reference the place by its proper name in that article. My suggestion is
  • Leave the article as it is TNPL Pugalur else
  • Rename the article as Kagithapuram with TNPL Pugalur REDIRECTED to Kagithapuram
I like to justify that the name Kagithapuram is more appropriate. Because of the TNPL's Paper mill only the village has got the name Kagithapuram. Paper Means Kagitham (காகிதம்) in Tamil. Check out this link. Raj6644 (talk) 05:06, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:37, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
