"Business interests"
[edit]"The group has a wide range of business interests across a number of industries" - do they? Does the group not have just one business interest: retail?
Also, looking through the references, they are all - without exception - just related organisations and "back-slapping" trade groups. There is no substance in those links.

- You're right. This article isn't in a great state - however it has been a lot worse, for example this old version. If you want to practise your editing skills, have a crack at bringing the article's quality up. You can get support from established editors from places like Teahouse. thanks for your efforts!Rayman60 (talk) 19:00, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
NPOV?
[edit]This whole article reads like an ad for the Hut Group - with phrases like "the UK’s leading multi-product, multi-website online retailer with rapidly growing international operations" and "has developed its own best in class end-to-end technology platform supporting its multiple websites". Leading according to whom? Who says it's best-in-class? I don't think it qualifies for SD, but it needs a rewrite. Tuskah (talk) 14:24, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Criticism
[edit]I have removed references to criticism of this company as there are currently no referenced, reputable sources. However, there are likely to be some so if you come across any they should be added. DuncUK (talk) 11:17, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:Zavvi logo.png
[edit]The image File:Zavvi logo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

NPOV
[edit]This page was obviously initially created by the firm's employees, as it reads exactly like an advertisement. I have made some changes to remove the more obvious bits including:
- The Group’s ‘multi-category, multi-website’ ecommerce model in Lifestyle and Health and Beauty categories enables the Group to showcase its own branded products and other prestigious brands in bespoke retail environments, as required both by the brands and informed consumers.
- ...facilitating highly effective data-driven retailing through optimised website content and bespoke marketing content generating high levels of consumer loyalty, choice, repeat purchase and satisfaction.
The first point seems to just mean that they sell via a website. The second point is advertising. I have also removed some jargon.
But what do the people in the company actually do
[edit]The page would benefit from a description of what the people employed by the company actually do eg. A plain English description of the work that is completed. Like I have a good understanding of what teachers doctors police soldiers scientists artists do, but it's this anything more than an accountancy operation? 92.22.49.199 (talk) 09:54, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
Unfortunately, there was a regression of th company for the members of the first level.. And when an objection to the group occurred, Engy contacted one of the group members in order to insult me, and then Engy deleted me after that.. I will report the company due to its insincerity and also for its use by employees who mistreat members.. I am in Waiting to send the money that you took from me, otherwise I will have to file an international lawsuit against you and a large number of members.. Dr. Samia Hariri..Iam from Egypt

THG renaming
[edit]Should this page be renamed 'THG' since the company changed name? It's like BP was still listed as British Petroleum.
That would mean renaming the existing 'THG' page to 'THG (disambiguation)'. Which would require the deletion of the existing 'THG (disambiguation)' redirect page.
Feels like something major enough that it would require discussion first. Dgp4004 (talk) 11:50, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
